I lift weights, a year ago I started eating every 3 hours to do something called keeping a positive nitrogen balance. Heres my question & concern…my undderstanding that we are trying to keep a positive nitrogen balance to increase testosterone to build muscle, my concern is that increasing testosterone increases DHT, which increases hair loss….my question is, am i right about the increasing testosterone part or any of this? Thanks.

serum levels of DHT have absolutely no effect on hair loss.

“how” DHT effects the AR receptors on “your” hair follicles is dependent on your DNA. if you have the genetic predisposition for hair loss the serum levels of test and dht have no effect that.

First of all…what are your goals? Are you trying to gain lean muscle mass or get definition? Cause the only people who eat three hours a day are the ones who are bulking up.

What about increasing testosterone? Are you on anabolic steroids? Listen, your body will produce more testosterone and creatine when your muscles grow. But it won’t make you go bald. Baldness is hereditary. So if you’re worried about losing your hair check out the men in your family. If the majority of them are bald then you may have to start shopping for a toupee.
