I am currently taken biotin supplements (pills) to help increase my hair growth. But I have started noticing that in a lot of shampoos, conditioners, and other beauty products that claim to increase hair growth, biotin is a major ingredient. So I wanted to know if i could use liquid biotin supplements directly on my scalp to possibly increase hair growth. Thanks!
No……hair growth comes from within the body. Biotin is ingested into the body. Nothing outside the body will make hair grow faster. Biotin does not even promote faster hair growth but it does promote healthier hair. The addition of Biotin is another one of those ploys to make you think ‘WOW this must be a great product it has Biotin in it!’ Eating well is the main factor in healthy growing hair.
I must add that the products now on the market that allow hair to grow where there was no hair are the exception to the rule for growing hair outside the body…..those also have to be taken for life not just a one shot deal, or a few months. They are chemicals, and once you stop taking these drugs and topical formulas the hair you gained falls out.
