Hi, in this video I show you my tip on how to grow your hair longer using my special technique of trimming split ends that occur up and down the length of your hair – not just along the bottom. This is so important to preserve and encourage your hair to grow long. Many things we do from brushing to ponytails can cause strands of hair to break. These shorter pieces of hair can form split ends and cause a frizzy look to your long hair as well as additional splitting up the hair shaft. This leads to loss of overall length of your hair. To mitigate this problem, I have a technique whereby you can give attention to all your hair, (including along the bottom) for split end removal. This will enable you to stretch your time between trims so you can grow your hair, yet still keep it healthy. I hope you like my video and that you find it helpful. Please comment and don’t forget to subscribe! More to come! Thanks so much

I thought of this …
I thought of this vid when I had a long wait in the car. I pulled out my Swiss pocket knife, the smallest they make, and used the teeny scissors to snip off split ends. I was happily surprised I don’t have uber bad ones. And you’re right, the more split hairs seem to be around the face and ears and such but it wasn’t too bad. Thanks for the reminder to use a little down time to check the ends. : )

Hi, your hair was …
Hi, your hair was probably being kept straighter when it was long by the weight of your longer hair. The longer your hair gets, the straighten it lies many times, because it’s heavier. Once you cut it, it has more body and many times will fluff up. The only way to make it straighter is by blow drying it from the top of your head down, or straightening it. Be careful not to do it too much because it can be very drying to your hair and cause damage.

Hi, be sure to use conditioner after every shampoo, especially on your ends and use a leave in conditioner before styling to retain moisture. Take special care not to use things like rubber bands in your hair, but instead use soft scrunchies and minimize wearing a ponytail because that causes a majority of the breakage further up the hair shaft. Hope that helps
Thank you so much …
Thank you so much for the video, My hair is in MULITPLE layers so it is hard to distinguish the breaks, but your tip is Sooo helpful…I must add that I trully appreciate the lady-like manner in which you have done your video. did you say you can even get spit ends from touching your hair too much? whats everything ican do to prevent breakage&split ends cuz i take really good care of my hair but its like i prone to split ends and bad tips
Hi, just as you …
Hi, just as you said shampoo/conditioning products won’t grow hair, but they do help prevent breakage. I like the Garnier Fructis line of shampoos and conditioners and for deep conditioning, I use Olive Oil (please check out my video on it). You can also massage your scalp with jojoba oil will will promote circulation and blood flow and has been praised for promoting hair growth. Of course, growth comes from inside so it’s very important to maintain a healthy diet and get enough rest.
Hi, unfortunately, …

Hi, unfortunately, that is bad for your hair. When you split the hair like that, you are leaving behind a very thin half-thick strand of hair and that hair is further prone to splitting. It’s best if you trim them with a scissor, just removing the tiny split end or waiting until you can go to the salon again and have a trim. Thanks for your comment
i just got about 5 …
i just got about 5 inches of my hair cut off on wednesday i was about to my waist and i had tons of spit ends from hot-ironing. but when i had long hair i used to take a spil end by both ends and pull them apart till it was just one strand, is that bad for your hair? im just wondering for future reference. btw – loved this video (:
Include lots of …
Include lots of foods with Vitamin B. Also be sure to get enough rest. Hair grows from the inside, so taking care of your body will help your hair grow. You can also try massaging your scalp with jojoba oil. Please see my video on this. Hair fall is considered normal and occurs every day. You can lose up to 100 hairs a day. If however, you are in excess of that you could be causing it with your styling, so be gentle. If you see any bald patches, see your doctor.
Hi, straighten your …
Hi, straighten your hair a lot can cause it to become very dry and damaged very quickly, so please use caution and try to minimize this routine a bit or perhaps just straighten the outer layers around your face. It sounds like cutting your hair shorter has caused it to get wavier. This is common because the longer your hair is the more it is weighed down. My hair is the same way. If you want to have maximum growth, eat a healthy well balanced diet.
i straighten my …
i straighten my hair alot because lately its been getting wavy and i do not like it. it was down to under my boobs and i got it cut to JUST under my shoulder. i hate it. also my hair has been falling out alot but my hair is not dry what-so-ever. any tips that i could use to help my hair grow faster without buying products?
Hi, give yourself a …
Hi, give yourself a chance to get used to it. It’s very normal to miss your hair after you make a drastic change; it’s kind of a delayed reaction to the stress of losing it. If you decide after a week, that you still really don’t like it and want to grow it out, take care handling it so you don’t cause breakage, maintain a healthy diet and you should see 1/2″ growth per month. In six months you will have gained back three full inches.

Hi, yes it will …
Hi, yes it will definitely help to prevent split ends because it sounds like your hair is very thin at the bottom and may have already split apart leaving behind a thinner end. Some hair fall every day is normal and nothing to worry about. You can lose up to 100 hairs a day and not have to worry. There is always hair entering the fall stage.
i also cut off the …
i also cut off the hairs that get very fine and taper at the end to where they are nearly transparent. would that help prevent split ends?
also, my hair is very fine and many strands fall out when i shower or brush it. i have a healthy diet and am gentle with my hair…is this normal? are there ways to prevent so much from constantly falling out?
